SWG: New Beginnings aims to deliver a premium, era-faithful Pre-CU experience with a rebuilt core, updated client, and a carefully expanded galaxy.

We preserve the combat, professions, challenge, and social depth that defined classic Pre-CU — while introducing smart quality-of-life improvements, system evolutions, and new content that feel native to that era. No pay-to-win, no gimmicks, just a handcrafted sandbox built for people who actually loved how SWG played.

To deliver the most authentic Pre-CU Star Wars Galaxies experience possible — enriched with smart quality-of-life improvements and Pre-CU–friendly new content. We honor the depth, challenge, and community-driven heart of SWG while carefully improving systems and adding content that feels true to the era.

We are in active development.
Players can download the launcher and join Discord for a chance to test and experience the galaxy as we grow toward final release.

Stay True to Pre-CU DNA
Core combat, professions, pacing, and risk/reward follow Pre-CU expectations first.
Non-Intrusive QoL
Quality-of-life changes remove friction, not identity. If it breaks the feel, it doesn’t ship.
System Evolution
Key systems are rebuilt where needed — not reskinned. Balance and behavior matter more than nostalgia.
Pre-CU Friendly Content
New dungeons, missions, and events are designed as if they could have launched in the original era.
Player Economy First
Loot tables, crafting, and sinks/sources are tuned so crafters and traders stay central to the galaxy.
Rebuilding the Core Engine
Core3++ work focuses on stability, performance, and correctness — not shortcuts or one-off hacks.
Updated Client
Client-side changes modernize visuals and UX, while preserving the original SWG interaction model.
JTL New Core System
Space gets its own dedicated treatment with the JTL 2.0 core, not bolted onto ground logic.
